Honda civic HB Si ?

what can a 88-91 Honda civic Si run in a 1/4 Mile with Bolt-ons ? sample headers,exhaust, intake,wires ,plugs msd igintion and short shifter . You know the usual stuff. Can ya help me out ????

Stock Si's should be able to pull a mid 16 (i've heard 16.4 is like the magazine time). DX's are usually low 17 second cars...some can nail 17 flat. A stock motored Si with some bolt-ons should run low 16's at least. Some can get into high 15's depending on driver and setup.

hmmm....I never ran mine bonestock, but saw one at the Import Nats a few years back run a 17 something....I would be VERY surprised if a bone stock Si could run 16.4!!! that's fast for 108 hp wink

yes....i have heard rumors of people pulling like REAAAAALLY low 16's bone stock out of an Si...and then i read more into it and it's with slicks and stripped crap, and shifting at like 10 grand....crap like that. when i take my car, i'm going to have full interior, street tires, full system, and my a/c. i don't consider it genuine unless you can duplicate the time on the street in true fashion smile

to tell you the truth you can't realy tell........it's all about the driver. if you can hit the gear, and drive a strait as you can that is what will give you the better time.

now don't tell anyone, but i was at a track and i had my 2000 civic dx with cold air,cat back, fuil reg, cam, pullys, and stock front tiers, and i did and 11:01 on the 8th, BUT DAMN my girl got in the car and she pulles an 10:81.(WTF) but lets just keep that in here and don't tell anyone

well now that car is hers so there :P

I ran a 16.7.. but then again i am located in very high altitude.
I've head that subtracting .8 sec gives my time at sea level.

so i would run about a 15.9 at sea level.
and all i have is 2 1/4 inch cat-back exhaust.

Um...I don't have an Si...I have a DX..and 4-door at that. But truly stock, granny shifting (at redline of 6250), full interior, A/C, and street tires (nice hard Michelin's actually, pretty sucky for traction IMO wink

) I ran a slow run of 18.180 and a best of 18.078. I prolly coulda had high 17's if I knew how to drive in a 1/4 mile, less than 9 gals. of fuel in the tank and more than 3 runs. lol...but that is a true DX stock run with a car a little heavier than a hatch. I know it wasn't the initial Q but I thought I would toss in my $0.02 and I LOVE talking about my 1/4 mile experience biggrin

Oh-- wait...I did remove my spare tire and jack...so not quite a "full interior" - lol!

I ran a [email protected] stock! I broke my axle too. The only mod's I have are what I show. The other runs were 17.2 and 17.01....then I stopped after I broke my baby!
